ABOUT THE AGENT:

Haley Warrington is newly embarking on an agenting role at The Booker Albert Literary Agency. On top of having two romance novels slated for publication by Lake Country Press, she has completed an internship at Booker Albert.

She is a fan of all things romance—bring the heat or leave it at the door, she’s interested in representing Adult or New Adult fiction. Some of her favorite novels include The Match by Sarah Adams, Wildfire by Hannah Grace, and anything Emily Henry. She would love a story that could comp shows like Gossip Girl, Reign, or You.

Across the genres Haley would like to represent, she is overall looking for great storytelling. Any piece that brings emotion to the front and center and evokes reactions. Make her laugh, make her cry, make her think about it for weeks after the initial read (emphasis on the crying aspect…she likes sad stories).

Keep reading to see if Haley Warrington is your dream agent!

HALEY IS SEEKING:

New Adult/Adult: Thrillers/mysteries, contemporary romance, & women's fiction YA: psychological suspense, LGTBQ+ romance, grounded fantasy, horror & cozy mysteries.

Adult thrillers/mysteries: Haley loves a locked door story, but keep in mind she love exceptional hooks and fast paced stories.

Adult contemporary romance/women's fiction: Haley is looking for something that will explore the deeper sides of romance! Give her people coming together in grief or finding who they are and healing before coming together.

YA psychological suspense: Similar to what she's looking for in the adult space. She would love the next UNDER THE SURFACE by Diana Urban. Keep her hooked and turning the page!

Learn secrets and proven paths to finding an agent with the book GET A LITERARY AGENT. The guide explains query letter writing, submission dos and don'ts, how to craft engaging opening pages, synopsis FAQs, nonfiction proposal tips, literary agent pet peeves, and much more.

YA LGBTQ+ Romance: Haley is only open to romance in the queer space for the YA age range. She would love to see more of these voices come to the center, so please send these her way!

YA grounded fantasy: Something that blends a slight magical twist into the every day life of a mere mortal, or a story about modern day witches.

YA horror: Especially non-Western folklore! But, Haley is open across the board for YA horror, so please send it her way!

YA mysteries: Haley would love to have a cozy mystery on my list, but she's also super interested in a murder mystery. Keep her guessing and on her toes, but keep the twists coming!

HOW TO QUERY:
