Paul -- live! A few years ago, I made a pledge to see my three Bucket List concerts. I saw U2 at the Sphere, then Rollings Stones last summer. And this fall, I saw Paul in concert in Columbus. He played for almost three hours -- mostly Wings hits but also plenty of Beatles. Anyone who knows me (Chuck) knows that I love concerts. It's my vice. OK, the man can no longer sing at all. I was warned many times before booking the 2025 ticket but I just didn't care because I could enjoy him up close, dancing and doing his thing, huge smile on his face. I got to enjoy Van Halen and Van Hagar concerts before Eddie passed away, and I am glad Roth is still having fun, even if his voice is indeed completely shot. My daughter and I got to see Katy Perry in Madison Square Garden. What a thrill! She played hit after hit -- 16 years of bangers. Rebecca Black opened -- you may remember her from cameoing in Katy Perry's video "Last Friday Night (TGIF)." Anyone who knows me (Chuck) knows that I love concerts. It's my vice. Last time I saw CC, it was the main featured act in a very small club. He even remarked how small the club was. This time he opened for Toto on a huge stage at Cincinnati's biggest venue. He seemed to have a lot of fun. Anyone who knows me (Chuck) knows that I love concerts. It's my vice. She's So Unusual has no bad tracks and is an amazing album. Cyndi came out with high energy (and confetti) and blazed through all her hits. If you haven't enjoyed her song "Change of Heart," I highly recommend it. Anyone who knows me (Chuck) knows that I love concerts. It's my vice. Our Lady Peace The last time I saw OLP, I was a teeanger, so it was surreal to witness them again. Because they were the first of three bands, they got offstage quickly to make room for Collective Soul and Live. Anyone who knows me (Chuck) knows that I love concerts. It's my vice. "Good" is pure delicious 90s. Seeing them live was a mixed bag, because they played the big hits, the small hits, and some hits I never heard. The issue for me was that the lead singer seemed off key the entire night but unaware of it, singing with immense gusto. Anyone who knows me (Chuck) knows that I love concerts. It's my vice. Joan came out and rocked the house. She played a mix of her own stuff and The Runaways. Very cool to hear "Cherry Bomb" after Guardians of the Galaxy popularized it for new generations.
